1. Certainty (and not mere suspicion) about the passage of gas, urine or feces.

2. Deep sleep (and not just dozing).

3. Loss of mental awareness, such as fainting, drunkenness or the effect of drugs.

4. Ejaculation and wet dreams. This nullifies ablution and requires total body wash for purification. The passage of prostatic fluid with or without sexual stimulation, requires washing the male organ and performing ablution.

5. Sexual Intercourse with or without ejaculation.
