Adhan and Iqamah

 

 

  1. Adhan

Addition for fajr prayers:

During the adhan for fajr prayer, the following words are added after Hayya alal falah

2. Iqamah

 

Iqama is the same as the adhan except that after Hayya alal falah, the following words are added:

Translation:

 

Prayer has begun

One says the beginning and ending takbir, and the phrase Qad Qamatis Salat twice. Everything else is to be said once, making eleven phrases.
